we're flying to perth today, arms out and all. nirrimi will meet my brother and sisters, and my parents (of whom she has already met once before). we'll film, and work, and photograph. but mainly work. if you want to work with us, we still have a few days spare before we leave for bali on the 12th december. n's first overseas trip and i'm glad to have the taste of cherry in my mouth. i will look after you lover, always.

thank you for all the nice thoughts, i'm sorry i haven't been uploading much of anything this year. i haven't really been shooting much because my camera is broken and i've been a little too focused on working and the whole moving into an apartment thing. but nirrimi and i are settled into our apartment and will have very very very fast internet very very soon, and hopefully new equipment too. fingers crossed that we win the SOYA competition that we were both shortlisted in!

i hope everybody is alive, happy and well. can't wait to get internet, there are some people i really miss chatting too (here's looking at you antonio!)

four nights ago i woke...

my child is alive again and i want to have a water fight in the backyard under the sun and yesterday i had watermelon dripping sticky down my hands and arms and tomorrow i'm going to play some more guitar to nirrimi and kiss her all over and we'll lie together on the trampoline, like we did today, and sleep.

i'm in a tent in townsville with nirrimi asleep beside me, her family asleep in the house beside us. everything is so full of breath and memory here, it's so nice to be home again. to feel home.
